Facilitated reflective practice today, which was a lovely way to end the working week. Despite many of the challenges experienced in a stretched and exhausted NHS, the staff team demonstrated incredible care, compassion and motivation 💫🌈 @Mersey_Care

Sincere thread for people who aren’t sure about why nurses are striking: Nursing is one of the lowest paid graduate jobs in the country. A newly qualified nurse will go in at £27k a year but with significant debt, having worked for free for three years prior to qualifying. 1/

Thank you to @shoko_chen and Co. for a great couple of days learning about the HOPE(S) model and reducing restrictive practice - alongside a lovely bunch of motivated and invigorated staff too. I’m reminded of the great work we do in secure services 💜

@LimonPsy I have no clue! I suspect they are…it’s worrying people have to be reminded to be empathic 😣

In my opinion, the only way to ‘learn’ empathy is to experience it and have space for that part of ourselves to mature. This happens through relationship. We cannot just have it described well. Can we stop coaching people on how to ‘perform’ empathy better?

I’ve been spoiled today by my team. Feeling so valued by all of the kind words from patients and staff I’ve worked with. So many mixed emotions about my last day as an AP but it’s been such valuable experience and I’m feeling very excited to start DClin.
