🎁 FREE GIFT: FULL ROSENSHINE CPD PACK!
To celebrate 50 consecutive weeks of ⚗️DistillED, I’ve put together something quite cool…
Over the past year, Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction has been one of the most requested topics from teachers and school leaders. So I’ve put together a complete, ready-to-run CPD pack to help schools explore and implement all 10 principles.
The download includes:
→ 10 CPD PowerPoints (ready for 30–45 min sessions)
→ 10 strategy checklists (practical classroom actions)
→ 10 planning templates (put principles into action )
→ Covers all 10 of Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction
Everything you need to run ten focused CPD sessions — one for each principle.
👉 REPOST and comment ROSENSHINE and I’ll DM you the link. Cheers!
⏰ Available until Sunday 22 March!

Where can I find similar resources please?

We made rockets at Camden Town Library today and this little rocket travelled 278cm!
One family loved our previous origami bookmark session so much that they haven’t stopped creating bookmarks - they even have a log book to record each one!
We love that!

For everyone returning to Maths teaching this week, this is your annual reminder about draustinmaths.com, which now contains over 800 (I've just counted!) KS3 and KS4 FREE Maths resources that you may find useful over the coming year.

Here's a link to a place value slider template that you can use. Just print on card and use a craft knife to cut along the lines marked in orange on the picture!

Using sliders like this one can be useful when modelling multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 to demonstrate that all the digits move the same amount of place value columns, to show how the value of each digit changes and to examine the purpose of a place holder.

@stecks @ATMMathematics Yes definitely keen, although my Summer Maths Club is tbc.

Does anyone run a STEM club or other maths/science activities for kids, and fancy testing out/feedback for a maths activity I've designed? I can send you kit and instructions, and it uses scrap A4 paper and scissors/tape. Let me know if interested by email: katie@steckl.es
