The moment I got to hold my first edited book! I’m so excited to share this with everyone! The authors and my co-editors are amazing and the experience was life changing. Thank you to everyone for your support.

I am compiling a list for my intro to sociology class on books they can read for a book report. What new books have come out (within the past 5 years) that I should add to it? What have y’all written 👀

Yesterday was my first class at JCI and the students were great! I’m so excited that I get to teach in the facility with @BowieState. The program the department is building is changing lives!

1 in 10 people in state prison today was homeless before turning 18. 1 in 5 was in public housing before 18. 1 in 5 was in foster care. The U.S continues to allow kids to grow up in poverty - and then end up in prison.
