@AnkurFactorial Love this! In Tamil we call it vendaykai ..our family recipe uses mustard seeds, cumin, asafoetida, turmeric, coriander and red chili powder ...my favorite plus apparently it improves math skills 😂

Did a Health talk at a Tech company, the attendees kept referring to me by my first name ->My credentials and that I am a “Dr” were clearly mentioned on the slides ->Asked male colleagues,they said it never happens to them I let it go- but feel like it was sexism Am I wrong?

Crowd sourcing: Looking for examples of RCTs that reversed observational studies—other than WHI. Also looking for examples of observational research that was upheld in the RCT. I will buy you espresso at the next meeting.

Most COVID19 policy errors are due to a failure to understand that 90++% of Americans will get COVID no matter what we do vax lowers risk of bad outcomes - good! n95, testing, hermit living, pointless Shanghai style tactics might slow the slope, temporarily everything else won't

Me: I think when people gather it's a good idea to be vaccinated, boosted, and test prior to arrival. Outrage twitter: you don't care about workers, immunocompromised people, ventilation, low booster rates, vaccines for <5s, public health, global vaccine equity...

Tomorrow is the 9 year anniversary of my son's kidney transplant, which his Aunt donated when he was 18 months old. He's smart and curious and he loves baseball. He's also a constant reminder to not spend time worrying about tomorrow; each day has enough trouble of its own.

1 thing I think @JonHaidt & I got wrong in our 2018 book COTAM is that we ended on a hopeful note even though we thought the problem was going to get worse before it got better. Now we both think we are in serious trouble for a long time coming theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…

@statsepi I'm just happy I came to the US in 2012 (BU MPH $60,000) and not 2022 (BU MPH $80,000) 😱 ...starting salary for MPH grads are pretty stagnant ...but hell yea we are #6 rank baby 😆

@statsepi after 2 years of garbage covid obs studies tht cld easily be front page news/policy tomorrow ..I'm less concerned abt red wine/olive oil studies..maybe ppl in the field are able to sort out the bad studies over the years and gain some knowledge? Also seen more nutrition RCTs
