@Cem_Res @Magnificent1of7 Those handles came to my mind when I heard the news - it’s perfect that NB will be a part of his final chapter. His funeral promises to be something quite impressive - befitting a historian of some of the finest funerary spectacles.

Sad to hear of the death of Dr Julian Litten - his work was an inspiration to me and helped to spark my passion for the history of the funeral trade. The English Way of Death was brilliant account of the changing approaches to death. Farewell from this death historian to another!
