There’s effectively no preventative /elimination risk controls. Blue cards? Useless. Child care providers, teachers, etc should be properly #psychometrically profiled before being employed; we’ve many tools to proactively identify problematic cognitive & behavioural tendencies.

Being exposed to unsafe (inc. biohazardous) work settings is a psychosocial hazard, and the causal connection test for that would be easier to pass IMHO. But the injury would then be psychological (primary).

That will not be difficult to prove if they didn’t have it on admission. And these are most at risk of catastrophic outcomes i.e. of the order of 10 per cent mortality rate

It’s going to be very hard for the vast majority of workers to pass the causal connection test required. Little to no sequencing, and no TTIQ. Not impossible; but very difficult. Unfortunately.

Australia is such a weird place. On one hand, I love it, and would not mind moving there. People are super nice and it’s beautiful, and the food is great. They were also so good with their zero Covid until they weren’t. On the other hand, they seem to have an almost pathological aversion to the concept of climate change, long covid, PPE, and that indigenous people are human beings. But now they drop this baller (from what I can tell) set of requirements for businesses and hospitals.

I'd done some work in the HAZCHEM space in an engineering environment and was familiar with the principles contained in CoPs. Didn't understand (when COVID started) why similar health sector CoP re hazards/controls didn't exist🤷
