@BusterScraggs @RobertCandelori Stop believing you are the savior of your employees. Your employees generate profit for you, you need them just as much as they need you more really. Also company tax used to be progressive so the whole small business victimhood mindset doesn’t apply

@drdeazzy @RobertCandelori I run a small business and if I get taxed more tell me how that is good for my 25 employees? There is less money to invest in my employees and grow my business plus try to squeeze out some profit at the end of the day

This isn’t just about property. Proposed CGT and negative gearing changes could impact investors, business owners, entrepreneurs, and start-ups across Australia. Australians were told these changes weren’t coming, then the rules changed. It’s about trust. #CGT

@RobertCandelori Robert you are economically and historically ignorant. You can tax your way to prosperity, it’s what Aus used to do. Please educate yourself on the tax rates for high income and companies in the 1960s, a period of much much higher economic growth than we’ve seen in the past 25yrs

@RobertCandelori Anti business is good for the average worker. Aspiration is not achievable for most under these extreme neoliberal circumstances. Ambition is not a useful concept in macroeconomic planning.

@rationalaussie You are looking in all the wrong places for the cause of the current issues facing Australians and the world in general. I suggest you analyse international capitalism and you might be more enlightened.

Instead of removing the CGT discount, we should be removing all taxes, reducing government spending to 0, kicking all politicians out of parliament, and deporting the million immigrants illegitimately let into the country by Albo over the last few years. Then every single person in his government who engaged in wilful blindness regarding the fraudulent NDIS scheme should be prosecuted. People have no faith in the system anymore because the system is corrupt. We pay now just pay taxes so these parasites can give it to lazy corrupt fucks engaging in fraud. Start a business? Albo wants 50%. Take a shit? Albo wants to know what toilet paper you used. Post a funny meme? Straight to jail. Left wing politics always ends in communism because the left has no accurate world model. They are retarded, low IQ, weak beta communists disproportionately represented by low T males, women and communities of foreigners who benefit from the grift.

@senatorbabet You couldn’t define communism if you tried. Good luck though. I think the word you’re looking for is fascism.

@Cassandrasl99 It is tinkering around the edges and barely achieves anything. They still are too afraid to dare confront the domineering financial elite and capital.

@ausstockchick Notice it’s an “investment property” and never a “home.” They will chirp about how more investment in housing = more housing. They fail to mention the part where they mostly just buy pre-existing homes and never construct new ones. The ‘Rent-seeking’ [econ term] economy is over.

One thing is almost certain, kiss goodbye to record gains in the housing market. Nobody in the right mind would buy an investment property in Australia now. #auspol

@RobertCandelori That’s literally not what a banana republic is. This country along with the rest of world is doomed but not for the reasons you think, in fact the exact opposite reasons.

This moronic budget will precipitate a mass exodus of capital out of Australia and disincentivise wealth creation. We are in banana republic territory, led by a government full of ministers with zero business experience.

@OwenRask Afford to pay more as they can’t borrow as much. Prices are fundamentally limited to what people can pay.

@OwenRask Rents won’t go up if people can’t afford to pay more. There is a supply issue in housing at the moment but my partner who is looking to sell her house can barely get offers for what she bought it for 3 years ago. So supply is still low but people just aren’t willing or can’t…

Our Budget makes the tax system fairer and stronger for workers, businesses, first home buyers and future generations. We're responding to the pressures of the here-and-now while embracing our intergenerational responsibilities.

During the treasurer's budget speech tonight, Australia’s billionaires got $560,000 richer. While they're accumulating wealth for doing literally nothing, you’re working harder and harder and falling further behind. Nothing in this budget changes that. It's time to tax the 1%.

Four years into this Labor government and we can see what they are all about. Super profits for gas corporations, cuts to people on NDIS, billions more for war and AUKUS and changes to negative gearing and property taxes that only make inequality worse.
