4. Thick skin/resiliency or whatever you want to call it is important. A lot of “feedback” you receive will be harsh and in stressful moments of patient care. Most of this “feedback” probably isn’t useful and is more a reflection of the stress felt by the person giving it.

In summary, I concluded that the flat 10 mm JP drain with side holes showed a trend toward outperforming both the 19 Fr round Blake drain and the 10 mm JP drain of the 'fluted' variety (p=0.06). The author may consider using this type of drain more often.
