Candace makes it sound all suspicious, and we know she thinks Charlie was a moron with handlers and no ability to judge people, but he willingly met Erika under the guise of interviewing her for a position. So there’s nothing suspicious. The way Erika and Charlie tell the story, Tyler just wanted Charlie to meet Erika with the potential of her coming to work for them. Maybe he secretly wanted to set them up. Either way, all parties consented, so it wasn’t suspicious, and it wasn’t an official interview at the restaurant, but Charlie ended up being taken with her and told her he couldn’t hire her because he wanted to date her.
