What kind of analysis would you do on the raw reads from 30+ Tbp worth of long read @nanopore #metagenomics data, the >10k HQ MAGs that have been recovered or the unbinned contigs?

While many of us have been on vacation @liuleitw and @ChenjingJiang has been busy shoveling @nanopore flowcells into the P24-A100 furnace. Since December last year our lab has now done 300+ flowcells targeting deep long read #metagenomes from 💩, soil, WWTPs, ADs etc. 🤯🤯🤯

@GCACTAATTGAGAAC You can joke, man, but this is going to be big. I'm guessing something that groups within the Methanosarcina but has an unusual metabolism. Maybe sulfur related. Could have unusual membrane lipids. Could be anything really.
