@JanjuaAdam @fatbotumgurl We have introduced remote working for some of our GP as we simply do not have enough consulting rooms to accommodate all our staff, and no scope to expand.

Remote working shouldn’t be the only clinical consulting model. There should always be the Face to Face ability as well when the clinician deems it’s needed. Gone are the days when patients are able to mandate how they are seen. Right now it’s sadly an all hands on deck situation.

People wonder why they can’t get a GP appointment? One of the reasons is the work that is being passed to GP from the hospital. Just this morning I’ve had to deal with numerous cases of patients who are under the specialist but are told to come to the GP to sort (things that are related to the specialist issue). This is getting beyond ridiculous now.

When I was a wee boy I played doctors too! Then I did the whole proper medical training thing. This lot don’t even know what they are being taught is nonsense. Examining a clothed patient’s abdomen? Not taking a pulse properly? Here’s your new medical kit. For shame Keele.
