@EdwardIanKearns bitcoin is applied maths and a protocol - a computer language. So if maths and languages have a value, so has bitcoin.

@dremar92 Once again, you are comparing things that are intangible that everyone in the world agrees have value like math and languages, things that are NOT traded nor invested in; with bitcoin that everyone in the world does NOT agree has value and is traded and invested in. Study LOGIC!

No matter what any bitcoin fan says about bitcoin’s properties, they cannot get around the fact that it is nothing. The properties of nothing are nothing. A network of nothing is nothing. The value of nothing is nothing. Yes, it is possible to pay something for nothing.

@RafiFarber the bitcoin network carries the only verifiable, permanent, independent and openly accessible chronological record of who interacted with whom (and their balances) anchored into physical reality by energy/ proof of work.

@dremar92 The internet carries information about something. The Bitcoin network carries information about nothing. Anything multiplied by nothing is nothing.

@EdwardIanKearns The original post states the value of nothing is nothing. I.e. physical existence is a requirement for value. This is wrong because friendship, languages, protocols, relationships are also intangible and not traded anywhere (I know off) and still have value.
