Amazon sellers are suffering from massive "subscription fatigue". Major incumbents retired starter tiers, pushing a $129/mo Platinum baseline. Why pay enterprise prices for bloated software when you only need basic features? 🧵👇

5 Lies About Selling on Amazon: 1. If you don’t have $25,000, don’t bother. 2. Amazon is too saturated. 3. Selling on Amazon is easy, passive money. 4. You don’t need keyword research software. 5. You can wait on investing in professional pictures.

@henrikPPC Is Helium10 still worth the cost. Do you use all the features or just Keyword research/Reverse ASIN?

1. start with weak competitors open helium10 black box don’t look for the #1 seller look for listings that: • have less reviews than you • are priced higher than you • have fewer images / weak creatives • ratings under ~4.3 these are the easy wins

@Camicees What tool you using to export all Amazon reviews? Used to use Helium10 but they discontinued that tool.

Export all Amazon reviews Upload to GPT Prompt: "Analyze these reviews and identify the key Before Moments (struggles, frustrations, emotional states customers experienced before buying). The key After Moments (transformations, wins, emotions customers experienced after using the product). The Bridge Moments (specific ways the product/service created that shift). Any exact phrases, slang, or emotional language customers use. Then present the findings in a Before, Bridge,After Moments Table I can use directly in marketing copy.” This finds angles competitors miss. Thank me later

Helium10 just showed us corporate greed at its finest. A shining example of how private equity runs perfectly good companies into the ground. Instead of incentivizing the affiliate partners that quite literally built their company, they decided to do the opposite. In an email deviously disguised as just another affiliate update, they made the following announcement: • All lifetime recurring affiliate commissions are being cut • Affiliates will now earn a one-time commission • Existing recurring commissions are NOT being grandfathered I have friends who have promoted Helium10 from day 1. One will lose $15,000+ per month in recurring commissions. Another will lose $4,000 per month. Thousands more will lose hundreds. This is such a hilariously bad move that there can only be one purpose: Juice short-term profits on the P&L to position for another sale. I will never promote a company that treats their affiliate “partners” like garbage. Helium10, do better.

@robwalling With AI enabled coding lowering product development costs do you think there is actually a play here to undercut more established SaaS software players with a much higher cost basis? Micro-Saas that competes on price?

If you hire someone excellent and then micromanage them to death, you’re a bad manager. If you hire someone who isn’t capable, so you have to micromanage to get good work done, you’re a bad manager. In every case, it's bad management, and it's your fault. Instead… longform.asmartbear.com/delegation/?ut…

@twistartups Love it. Smaller teams leveraging AI can now out maneuver and under price established players. Product matters but cost basis mattes too.

Got laid off? Find 2 people and do a revenge startup. What did the previous company screw up? Try 3 products they slept on. Double down on whatever gets traction. Either look at it like a victim or as an opportunity and become independent.

That’s why I'm building NimbleKeys. It's a streamlined, "anti-bloat" web app focusing on essentials: Reverse ASIN lookups and keyword search volumes. No fluff, no enterprise pricing. Just the vital data you need, priced at starting at $19/month for lite and $29/month Pro.

Welcome to Amazon Twitter, bro! Here’s a quick cheat sheet: Private Label good. Jungle Scout/Smart Scout good. Coupons good. PPC from Day 1 good. Lifestyle photos good. Wholesale bad. Retail Arbitrage bad. Helium 10 bad. DIY photography bad. Also, using lenders to fuel your growth good.

Software is not a commodity, although some are closer or farther. To see why, imagine me forcing you to swap out your email client, or your IDE, or your spreadsheet or docs app, and tell me you won't care at all. UX isn't fungible, even if you argue "features" are.
