@ArielRebel That's what I'm saying. Stay on some sites to just announce new posts on the main sites. That way you get more traffic to each; your site, Patreon and YT. Those are your pay sites anyway. Kinda free messaging

@drew_corless A balance of the two is important. My site and Patreon won't be successful if I don't get my work in front of new eyes. I think YouTube will be my best promotional platform, but everyone interacts differently online, so I wouldn't want to be just on there either.

My social media scheduling service is stopping automatic posting on X because the API is apparently unstable, and they want to make a point to support (and most likely pivot) their users to better social media platforms like Bluesky.

@ArielRebel Are you not better off with your site or even Patreon? The social media just gets you recognition and puts your name out there where your site and Patreon, that's more of a base to work from.

Would you consider ditching social media altogether and moving to platforms like Bluesky or Threads (I'm not a fan of Meta, but my experience is mostly positive on there... better than here, at least)

@drew_corless I have no idea. My guess would be men’s wear to be simpler to draft than women’s clothing because of the smaller amount of curves to take in consideration but looking forward to learn what I don’t know ☺️

Learning new things…

@ArielRebel Some might have something to do with the current standing of their account. If they close their account temporarily, or if their fees are owed, X might reduce their exposure. Then when they say back even, they will count again

I love how I see my followers count go up and down while knowing my profile is private and that’s impossible for it to go up without me approving profiles. 😂

@zestyandspicy I do plan on trying it. When my kids were young, I was always off New Years Day and somehow started the habit/tradition of making Chinese food every year. I would make a bunch of dishes. I ended up creating teriyaki meatballs one year. Hard to find a good sauce tho

Is it just me, or are more of you more keen to talk to me on this platform since I made my profile private? What makes me approve new followers, and it's that their profile looks like a real person: there's a photo, the tweets and replies look real and not all random RT

@ArielRebel I did when I turned 50. By then I divorced her and married again so that was the big birthday for me. 60 just went by with no frills either

Sooooo… I’m going to turn 40 this month (sept 23). Talking to the 40+ club, what did you do on your 40’s bday? Anything special? Went on a trip to feel your youth? Cuddled at home with a good book in a warm bubble batch because you’re officially “old enough” to care, cried in your closet in despair? 🙃✨ Give me ideas! 😂
