Here is the classic 2023 UTMB moment where Jim passes Germain at Champex-Lax. I'm still working on calibrating the GPX sync and it is surprisingly close, though I do think slightly off as I believe the pass happens slightly earlier. Interestingly, I'd always assumed Germain had been ahead for a while. But as you can see here, there was clearly some back-and-forth between Jim and Germain with leaving the aid station first and Jim passing him shortly thereafter. @walmsleyruns @aidstationfireb @dylanbo

@stephensearer I remember getting that shot of Jim and Germain and looking at their expressions and knowing right then Jim wasn't going to get passed back. Visualization of the GPX data is rad!

@tldtoday I think shot 2 would pass if cut in with higher end setups with no problem. Definitely some quirks in the other shots but still...insane that phone quality is this crisp (with good lighting and composition, of course)

When doing quality checks for YouTube, it is important to do one test in optimal conditions and one in realistic ones. This is why I watch all of my videos on a 4K OLED tv with surround sound, and then again in a hidden tab on a second monitor while I watch TikToks on my phone.

@thomaskovacik My only complaint was that the AF definitely seemed to miss pretty often. Was also my first time on the C70 so that might just be par for the course. I LOVE the 24-105 focal length for doc stuff on S35 sensors, has just the perfect range for verite scenes.

@thomaskovacik You can get a 40TB g-raid if running in RAID 1 would be easier than remembering to mirror two separate drives. Price looks similar from a quick amazon search.

@thomaskovacik 100%. I've been using a standing desk for ~5 years of editing. Would never go back. Rotating between standing and sitting has saved my back.

@saradietschy Definitely try status matching to American. I'm possibly switching to Delta and the status match has made changeover a little more tolerable.

I don't want to start over with American Airlines bc their card sucks and Delta is just a better airline. This is a super niche problem but I thought I had my credit card game on lock and now I might have to start over 😔 Move back to NYC? LOL

I built my entire biz life around my Delta Amex. The points allow me to travel with ease but I didn't think about how NYC was a Delta hub and DFW is not. Flying Delta from Dallas means I need a connecting flight anywhere I go (other than LA / NYC) hmmm😤
