It's disgusting that today 193 Republicans voted AGAINST lowering the price of insulin to $35 per month.

Let’s cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month so every family can afford it.

Scheduled my Step 3 exam today and reflecting now on how much has changed in the world since I took my Step 1 in 2019 - a global pandemic, BLM, a new decade, an insurrection… what a welcome to true “adult” life

So when the hospital stops all living donor organ transplants, non emergent cancer surgeries, elective joint replacements, adolescent scoliosis surgeries, and anything else potentially requiring admission, tell me again how your decision not to get vaccinated affects only you.

@maya_hicks12 To be blunt…any surgeon that does ANY minimally invasive surgery has to thank gynecologists. Gyne was the group of (laughed at) surgeons who started MIS, got laparoscopy and endoscopy off the ground, and is probably the single most important advancement in modern surgery.

Since 2017 >50% of US medical students are women. Many ob/gyn residents, including me x 2, are pregnant or breastfeeding during training. Despite this, there is no standard parental leave policy across graduate medical education! @acgme @boardobgyn journals.lww.com/greenjournal/A…

Despite evidence it could lower infant mortality rates, the US remains the *only* OECD nation failing to provide paid parental leave to its citizens.

@DGlaucomflecken Seems like a good place to leave this. Today’s test-taker who scores at the median on USMLE Step 2 CK would have been in the 98th percentile if they’d taken the test 30 years ago.

Things med school taught me never to do: - visit the Ohio River Valley - drive through Arizona - feel joy - camp in Maine - go spelunking - reheat rice - eat polar bear liver - attend daycare - go on a cruise - live in a dorm - have a pet bird
