@mccloskeybooks I’m the same as you. If I’m not liking it, I drop it flat. As slow a reader as I am, why waste time on a book I’m not enjoying. Folks that post extremely negative reviews must like to hear themselves below.

I am intrigued by highly negative book reviews. Not of my own work (impossible to critique!:) but in general. If I don't like a book I *usually* know by end of Ch. 1, and I stop reading. For those who go on: what drives you to finish books you hate? I ask with genuine curiosity
