Attention, Helldivers. A hotfix is planned for Wednesday, May 6. This will revert the Hive Guard and fix an issue introduced in Patch 6.2.1 where armor values were incorrectly swapped between the Legs and Claws. Updated Hive Guard stats: Main Body - Armor increased from 1 → 2 - Health increased from 375 → 500 Head - Armor decreased from 4 → 3 Front Legs - Armor increased from 2 → 3 Claws - Armor decreased from 3 → 1 We are reviewing player feedback, including durability damage, so next week we will also address some of these questions and others which our founder has received in various forums. Thank you for the continued support and feedback.

@driftingin2014 @StanDiver Even if the change "nerf" the capability of medium pen weapons to pierce through the hive guard head it still give you advantage over the light armor parts and not having to deal with that 35% damage penalty when you match the Armor penetration and the armor value

@SulfideCheetah @Lucolaf1 @StanDiver It's 75% not 50, and the medium pen weapons did functionally less damage to hive guards in comparison to light pen primaries (due to their armor value being lowered to 1 and 0)

Casual reminder if the AP value > AV Value then the impact does 100% of it's base damage. If AP value = AV Value, it's only 50%.
Medium pens are not nor were ever pointless. They do so much more than just penetrate medium armor. Thinking about guns in explicitly their AP value is reductive anyway.

@AngyVikingr @Lucolaf1 @StanDiver They were made considerably easier to kill, it's a pve gane aiming is not hard and I you think it is that's a you problem. Them being easier to kill wasn't worth nerfing the maxigun/mg43/sentries and other medium pen strategems and weapons for bugs

If I want to cross current Minecraft Oceans by boat, it will take me approximately 6-9 minutes. Old oceans would take me somewhere between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.
There is nothing fascinating about spending 30 minutes on boating in MC

Thats the whole part of the game, there is no META, there is you, your stupid guns, alot of explosives and a will to win the mission.

@Lucolaf1 @discordspies @StanDiver the problem is the brood mothers, they spawn them en mass and then run away to spawn more, they are a pain in the ass and are definitely overtuned

@driftingin2014 @discordspies @StanDiver i find the Bugs the Alpha Commander spawrns on dif. 10s WAY more annoying and bad balanced then ANY other bug in the game atm..... they are relentless and follow you over the whole map, even when u have stealth armor and they lost vision on you..... Alpha Wariors, the Red fucks..

@driftingin2014 @discordspies @StanDiver yep. i think what you complain about is that Sentrys and weapons with Med pen got less value against that front do to the HiveGuard doing it job as Guarding, but we both agree that with Aiming that is not a problem at all, do to the HP nerf. But they still have there Value there.

@driftingin2014 @discordspies @StanDiver If that one bug is the whole reason u take Med pen, what do you do with Spewers, Stalkers and BroodMothers, cause your Math is affecting them aswell and making med pen not worth it in the first place. When i was playing Blitzer i also noticed, you cant kill them from infront now

@Lucolaf1 @discordspies @StanDiver I mean comparing the lib pen to the liberator that 25% damage isn't giving you more than the base 85 of the liberator, only on level 2 armor. It's a trade off that isn't as worth it when there are less enemies that the actual lvl3 penetration effects
