@JanFlint Visiting granny yesterday, I saw the card sent by the Queen to my grandparent for their 60th wedding anniversary. Sad that both granda and the Queen are no longer with us

@davesumnersmith Unfortunately British Medical Association advised GPs not to give exemption letters so how does one substantiate the claim?

Anyone wishing to claim exemption from wearing a facemask should be obliged to carry a medical certificate to substantiate their claim. That would make it far easier for the law to be enforced.

Could anyone please explain why some people can claim to be *exempt" from wearing a face mask? Are some people exempt from wearing seatbelts in cars? Or hard hats & hi viz suits on building works?

Have an interesting email from NICE saying their guidelines don’t apply to non-NHS providers. If BASHH guidelines are ratified by NICE, might be a good idea to get them to change their tune.
