Interesting found a paper on alcoholic cirrhosis and ICU: 20% of such admissions are the first presentation of the disease and it’s a bad prognostic factor (I thought good, but isn’t!). If hepatorenal syndrome or sepsis mortality is 87%.

Face mask ventilation is fine, intubation is fine. A cough from an infected person is highly contagious. We need to stop talking about AGPs. Protect the covid wards properly, remove the ridiculous rules about aerosol generation for elective procedures.
