If anyone who's around in Paris for @hexacon_fr wants to acquire a USB-Cereal adapter — hit me up. This adapter is a convenient replacement for the Android Debug Cable. Essentially splits the USB port into two: one with UART with kernel logs, the other is a pass-through for ADB.

@tomeuv Thanks. However they don't seem to be correlating host traces and guest traces. You guys refer in vperfetto_merge github.com/741g/vperfetto that it's possible to pass guest CLOCK_BOOTTIME. Any suggestion about getting that value in a precise manner? Thank you 🙏🙏

@drjunior Oh, gotcha. What I would do in your place is to see what ChromeOS is doing these days. They used to have some scripts about it. Maybe this helps? github.com/chromeos/chrom…

@tomeuv Well, that's the problem... time from host and guests is different. Any idea to synchronize them? using CLOCK_BOOTTIME? How and what's the best strategy when collecting separately the traces?

@Fahien I am trying to understand what's the duration that guest gpu calls that arrive on host take to be processed. Trying to instrument libvirglrenderer with perfetto tracing enabled. I think I will first add just regular perfetto atrace calls instead of using vperfetto.

@drjunior It’s quite a while I am not using this tech, the post is also a bit old and some steps might not be up to date.

@Fahien tried to follow the steps to enable virglrenderer perfetto traces when used by crosvm but there is no "new" slices appearing in the report. Any suggestion about what's not correctly configured? Thanks. 🙏
