Research from 2025 Ideas Grant recipients Dr Melinda Hardy & Dr Jessica Harte (@WEHI_research) is exploring how T cells, which normally help fight infection, can become “exhausted” by gluten exposure and lose function, contributing to autoimmune disease.
This research could help guide new treatments for coeliac disease and other autoimmune conditions #CoeliacAwarenessWeek

@Gdog2020freedom All still to be validated but very promising to confirm diagnosis, works extremely well in those already on a gluten free diet, serology cannot do this. Age can sometimes affect time for healing.

@drmelhardy I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2016 via a blood antibody test that was elevated over 100. IgA
I believe. Biopsy on a scope done six months later was normal after eliminating gluten. Is that enough time for SI healing? Would this test be more accurate?
