@fchollet I intuitively know this line of thinking is flawed. Our minds constantly generate new knowledge by combining what we've cobbled together from smaller models.

The notion that you can use data generated by a model to train a bigger, better model is a nonstarter. Sure, you can use a larger model to train a smaller model -- that's distillation. But it won't learn anything new. There's no recursive improvement.

@derrick_helton @CalltoActivism Your hope is ill-informed. AI is trained on faults, biases, and misinformation. It's also trained on facts. It cannot distinguish the two. AI cannot yet accomplish what you hope it should.

@DonaldJTrumpJr "Pass it on." I remember this game from middle school. This was how people started rumors they knew weren't true. It's closely related to "Telephone" where the message got so corrupted by the end it barely resembled the original. Neither are good games to play in politics.
