Who knew that 2 poor, young, single Black moms raised in MKE, educated in the lowest-performing district in the state wld eventually join the ~2% of Black female MD PhDs in the US. Stats would’ve never given us this chance, but here we are and it’s not by chance at all p ≤ 0.05

A hospital recruiter recently offered me $75/hr to resuscitate newborns on weekends (non-negotiable rate, “best he could do”).
When I replied that I charge $600/hr for medical expert witness work from home, he said “Thank you for your time” and hung up.
