@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr We can do it right here: 1. How do you think separating is possible with so little support? 2. Now that the unconstitutional petition has been shut down, will you still separate yourself? 3. Without an active petition to leave why would be have a referendum on leaving?

@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr 3) continued… You shouldnt lie, it’s what makes separation look bad! Why should the needs of the few traitors outweigh the needs of the many? Why are separatists trying to bypass indigenous rights?

3) I’m not gonna lie, I genuinely had to read this question like 4 times because autocorrect absolutely fought for its life here 😂 but I think you’re asking why there would even be a referendum conversation without an active petition. Well… do you believe Canada is a democracy or not? Because in a democracy both sides are allowed to express themselves peacefully and democratically. People are allowed to discuss autonomy, constitutional reform, sovereignty, or independence without being treated like they committed a crime. A referendum is literally the democratic process. It measures public support. That’s the opposite of extremism. And honestly, if you’re asking these questions in good faith, come on my YouTube channel and let’s have a real conversation. I’ll let you fully speak your mind and I promise I won’t edit the conversation (unless you want me to, then maybe). Canadians need more actual discussion and less screaming at each other online.

@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr I assume you have to reread things Jon. You’re a separatist. Canada is a democracy and the only majority LEGAL petition is a petition to stay the course. Why would we have to vote on something the majority of us like want? We had a referendum to join, and we did!

@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr 2 continued: Glad to hear that people that state they HATE it here are leaving. It gives land and housing back to passionate and patriotic Canadians!! It should be mandatory that any separatist has to leave IF (no referendum yet) it fails. This would ensure less traitors

2) First, calling the petition “unconstitutional” is premature. One judge made a ruling and there’s still an appeal process. If the appeal overturns the decision, will the people calling it unconstitutional suddenly change their minds? Second, will I leave? Maybe. Many productive, hard working Albertans already have. I personally know people who moved their businesses, investments, skills, and families to the United States or abroad because they feel this country no longer values what they contribute. Is chasing away entrepreneurial, wealth creating people really the direction Canada wants to go?

@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr 2) The judge has determined it’s unconstitutional and they can appeal all they want. For NOW it’s unconstitutional until they win an appeal. Likely why the AB Gov’t had to remove the mandatory constitutional check prior to starting the petition.

@JonFromAlberta @ostrichfarm4evr You should as you’ve said you’re open to respectful debate but have dodged me at every time. 1) support hasn’t been growing and you have no data it is. In fact the polls show otherwise. So now that support has been tested and there is very little if any, why waste time on it?

But in good faith I’ll answer those questions here: 1) Support grows when people stop being afraid to even talk about something. Alberta independence used to be politically untouchable. Now it’s being openly discussed across the province and across Canada. Nobody really expects separation tomorrow. The first step is building awareness, testing support, and giving Albertans a voice. Political movements grow over time when people feel ignored, overruled, and disconnected from the direction of the country. That’s exactly why this conversation keeps growing.
