@Manuel_do_rio @Golovanov_ammoc please. we’re all dumbasses when we face the material for the first time. i find that the better books in math (for me) give a sense of what the issues are and where things are going. take a look at goldberg’s methods of real analysis - at least the first few chapters

None of them can match the absolutely top notch constructive approach—from scratch—delivered in phenomenal two volumes book of Terence Tao! If you are looking for a substitute with even greater breadth & depth, then there is no alternative to Russian masterpiece—Vladimir Zorich!
