@TheEducator23 It depends on your league size too. Obviously there’s going to be better options on the wire in a ten-teamer, as opposed to a 15-teamer. If you’re in a deeper league, you are holding Brown regardless and just being more careful about which matchups you start him in.

Over Hunter Brown’s last three starts, he’s walked 15 batters and struck out 11. He’s been wild and ineffective. The righty hasn’t looked like his usual self following a shoulder injury. Pitching is hard to come by in fantasy, but beware of Brown until we see better command.

@TheEducator23 It’s certainly possible - he still has two good fastballs, per Stuff+. I didn’t intend for this post to sound like you should drop him now, but it’s really hard for a starter to be effective with a 15.8% walk rate. If that isn’t corrected soon, you may have to consider cutting.

@drot_6 He’s historically a slow starter. Could this just be his slow start?

Just when you think you have a handle on how good the O’s are, they go ahead and make you consider changing your mind. Probably a good indicator that they’re pretty average over a full 162, but a seven-game win streak gives everyone reason to believe in a turnaround.

Great move. Bradish is a legit, coveted arm. Hyped to keep him around for the foreseeable future.

The Rays plan to be very aggressive buyers at the trade deadline with their eyes on Tarik Skubal, per @BNightengale. Tampa has also shown interest in whether the Diamondbacks would move Ketel Marte, with Luis Arraez as a potential backup plan.

Booth is an exciting pick by the Orioles from an athleticism standpoint. However, it looks like there’s a lot of movement in the hands to get into the stride & load. Even just by looking at this pic - it screams massive hitch to me. We’ll see how that holds up against pro arms.

I’ve tried to remain cautiously optimistic about the Orioles all season, waiting for a breakthrough. Well, at nine games under .500 at the end of June, I’m not sure there’s any saving this season. Sell off the rentals at the deadline and see if you can get it right next year.

Sometimes, you run into a starter who has it going and you lose. That's baseball. But when the Orioles have given away 5+ games this year and are well under .500, it gets more difficult to blindly accept the other starter having his A stuff as the main reason for losing a game.

Victor Mesa Jr. could be worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues. He’s batting 4th today against a right-hander, marking three straight starts (all against RHPs). 73.7 mph bat speed, 10.3% barrel rate, 76% Z-swing, .263 xBA (.170 AVG). Interesting big-side platoon guy📈
