Feeling a lot after being at the Louisiana Legislature fighting for the rights of Transgender Youth and Pediatricians. The support of colleagues, @MyLAAAP, medical students, and the children and families we serve brings the JazzFest art I bought into clear focus.

Heard in the atrium @chnola today. A family member of a patient asked the harpist about her instrument. “It’s essentially a vertical piano.” I learned so much in a 10min lunch. Thanks @CHNOLA for the brief break, beautiful music and community today.

On the 2022 International Transgender Day of Remembrance we lift up the voices of those lost to senseless violence and hate. We support those that are struggling or feeling alone. We work daily to build a future where hate for fellow persons is not accepted.

…about half of our acute care and ICU beds currently are occupied with kids with viral respiratory disease, most <3 yo. Avoid crowded, poorly ventilated indoor settings; wash hands frequently; mask; stay home if sick; vaccinate against flu and COVID. Winter could be even worse.
