The situation has reached a new low. It is deeply disturbing to learn that an MLA is personally calling BDOs of the Zainapora constituency, claiming that he will provide a “priority list” for MGNREGA works. This blatant interference in a scheme meant for the welfare of the people is unacceptable. MGNREGA is designed to function transparently through Gram Sabhas and local bodies—not at the whims of political interests. Such actions undermine grassroots democracy and deprive deserving beneficiaries of their rightful opportunities. If this trend continues, it will completely erode public trust in governance. @shishrgupta @dmshopian must take immediate notice and ensure that MGNREGA works remain free from political manipulation. @OfficeOfLGJandK @AsadamAijaz @Hussainesque @SZainapora

In this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with them and pray to the Almighty Allah to bless Khazir Sahib with Shifa-e-Kamila and strength to overcome this grave condition. I request Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi and Hon’ble Home Minister @AmitShah to consider granting parole to the incarcerated Member of Parliament, Engineer Rashid, so that he can be with his ailing father and distressed family members. Allowing him to be with his family in this time of crisis would be a humane and dignified decision and it will be appreciated by one and all in Jammu and Kashmir.
