@drsameersiddiqi Thekedars of Religion get these powers because most of us don't resist to their Religious Gundagardi. And those who resist are given names by these goons. And politicians/law agencies are enjoying this rift between sane and insane people.

This loudspeaker thing has really become a nuisance. Using it in a congregation or a gathering is comprehensible. But what is the fun of using it when there are only few people inside a mosque or any other place chanting something sacred? More so, if the litanies are between God and the people themselves, then why to magnify them on public address systems, provided the fact that the meagre number of individuals inside the mosque makes the usage of these loudspeakers seem irrational and absurd. Why to use a loudspeaker for prayers with jamat when the two thirds of a mosque is already empty? And why to use it addressing the whole Mohalla, when we are praying within the mosque itself? If needed for the inmates of a mosque or an institution only, then why don’t we use only those loudspeakers which are intended to magnify our voice within the required place itself, and why to create an unnecessary furore in the entire habitation? I was just trying to grasp something from a book but found myself completely at loss because of the pitching voice coming out from a mosque where people could have managed to perform zikr even without taking recourse to the loud speakers because I know that it is not that jam packed inside. Please for God sake have mercy on us, our kids who at times can’t sleep because of these shrills and shrieks, on our students, on patients and on all those who still can’t understand that why should we use these loudspeakers when they are not needed in the least. Using them for congregations agreed, using them on Fridays agreed, using them on important occasions agreed, but why to use them after Fajr prayers for Dua i Subah? Why to use them for chanting the Khatmaat of our saints, and that too when only a few people are sitting in a zaawiyyah? Here I am not discussing the permissiblity or otherwise of something, what I mean is the judicious use of all that has a bearing not only upon individuals but upon our collective order as such. It is just because of “TANG AAMD BA JANG AAMAD” that I am giving a vent to our collective haplessness before these things.
