I'm front row watching this UMiami/SMU game. If the Red Hawks can keep the game within 20 I'll be impressed. Their 31-0 regular season is built on beating Bishop Sycamore and West JR High.

💡💡💡💡💡 💡SPOTLIGHT💡 Truxton Davenport @TruckDavenport Riverton, UT @rhsfootballut 6A All Region center 2 yr starter 6’ 1” 300 lbs 6’ 6”wingspan 3.8 gpa NCAA ID 2504584882 Cell # 801-680-3799 HC: Jim Freeland 801-935-1677 🔗 HUDL: hudl.com/profile/149037…… 🎦 Film Analysis hudl.com/video/3/149037…… Truxton Davenport is a tone-setting interior offensive lineman whose film consistently reflects strength, intelligence, and purpose. He plays the center position with a clear understanding of how offenses function as a unit, showing an advanced ability to process defensive fronts, anticipate movement, and execute assignments with intent. Davenport is not a reactive player — he is proactive in how he attacks leverage, controls defenders, and creates space for the offense. From a physical standpoint, Davenport brings functional power and strong lower-half torque that show up repeatedly at the point of attack. He wins leverage early, plays with good pad level, and drives his feet through contact. His hand strength and grip allow him to control defenders once engaged, and he consistently finishes blocks with authority. Whether in tight quarters on the goal line or in isolated one-on-one situations, he shows the ability to anchor, re-fit, and finish against physical opponents. What separates Davenport from many interior linemen is his football IQ and spatial awareness. He understands run schemes, disguises intent, and sequences blocks effectively — often impacting multiple defenders on a single play. He shows comfort working in space, climbing to the second level, pulling in gap schemes, and redirecting with balance and control. His ability to recognize stunts, feel pressure developing, and protect the integrity of the pocket highlights a player who understands pass protection beyond surface-level technique. Athletically, Davenport moves better than expected for his size. He can open and flip his hips, recover when challenged, and maintain balance through contact. He does not panic when briefly out-leveraged and shows the ability to recover and reassert control using length, hand placement, and angles. This combination of size, movement ability, and processing allows him to function effectively in both zone and gap-based offenses.Intangibly, Davenport plays with an edge. His film shows a lineman who enjoys the physical nature of the position and brings a competitive, finishing mentality to every snap. He looks like a player teammates trust — a stabilizing presence in the middle of the line and someone running backs and quarterbacks benefit from playing behind. Davenport projects as a college interior offensive lineman (center or guard) with the tools to contribute early in a collegiate strength and conditioning program. His physical foundation, mental processing, and scheme versatility give him a strong floor, while continued development in explosiveness and refinement will raise his ceiling. He profiles as a dependable interior anchor who coaches can trust in high-leverage situations and who fits programs valuing toughness, intelligence, and consistency in the trenches. This is a player who wins the quiet battles that make offenses work — reliable, physical, and built for the next level.
