@HalleyComet3 Monster in the Mirror, by Grover from Sesame Street. 100% serious. It’s a great song. I’ve been saying this for years to all my friends.

I’m making a playlist of songs I think Phish *should* cover. So, now I am asking YOU, what song(s) would you want to hear Phish play??

@jefposk @violetblue I have eaten this (at a different restaurant). I can confirm it is delicious. Definitely pizza-adjacent.

@violetblue Ooo yum. Hey I just ran across something that would definitely go on your to-do list if you were still in SF: Georgian Cheese Boat. It's both the name of the restaurant and their signature dish, also known as acharuli.

#Covid-safe weekend friends, it's Food Adventure Time! Surges are popping everywhere, let's stay home and virus-free this weekend for sure. For our FAT, I'm trying something very new for me: Māori and Pacifica owned Karaka Cafe! Here's their link: karakacafe.co.nz

@missannabiller But that’s the stuff that makes you interesting as an artist to me! Satire is usually an overtone, but you use satire as an undertone. It makes your work uneasy and a little subversive.

I think the reason so many people missing it is that they don't understand the satirical tone. The Gothic fluff is apparently such a good disguise that it's covering over the real content of the book. (A problem I also have with my films).

Although this is a critical review, I enjoyed reading it. What is the intention? The intention was to disguise extremely painful things within a ridiculously clichéd Gothic setting to mirror the heroine's trauma as she was living in a dream world. bookforum.com/print/3003/ann…

Yay! Only have to sell 15x as many copies of my book and it will no longer be "a dismal failure".

There's so much destruction in the world that I want to start a thread of cool stuff people make that brings joy to them and others. I'll go first with my button dress:

Listening to the new remastered edition of SUBSTANCE and (great though it is) Bernard Sumner almost invariably ran out of lyric ideas by verse 2, didn't he? Not that it stopped him chugging on, forcing those rhymes.
