I love the story of Gideon.
He’s hiding. Afraid.
Threshing wheat in a winepress.
And God calls him:
“Mighty warrior.” (Judges 6:12)
⸻
That’s the Kingdom.
God doesn’t call you
based on how you see yourself—
He calls you
based on who you really are.
⸻
Gideon didn’t feel like a warrior.
He questioned.
He doubted.
He asked for confirmation.
But God didn’t change His word.
⸻
That’s where faith comes in.
Faith is the bridge
between who you think you are
and who God says you are.
⸻
And that bridge isn’t built overnight.
It’s built in the fire.
Through pressure.
Through testing.
Through obedience.
⸻
The same fire that feels like it’s breaking you—
is actually shaping you.
Turning doubt into confidence.
Fear into courage.
Calling into reality.
⸻
God sees the finished version of you.
Faith is what lets you walk toward it.
⸻
So if you feel like Gideon—
uncertain, hidden, not enough—
remember:
God may already be calling you
something greater.
