Confession: I studies Receivers, Tailbacks, Interior Linemen, Pass rushers, Linebackers extensively for the 2021 NFL draft because those were Miami's positions of need.
The Dolphins drafted a receiver, pass rusher, safety, tight end and two offensive tackles.

Tried the mock simulator a numbers of times. No matter what, if the Dolphins don’t take Javonte Williams at 36 they will be left empty handed....reaching.
I love him, so I took him. Same approach with the center. Okay, so I drafted for need (head down). I also made trades.

The Dolphins can select all the Alabama players they want, and continue to replicate the Alabama offense as much as they like (they are trying), but it’s going to be hard to recreate that RPO success in the NFL.
Not impossible, but hard.

I will make this confession. The more I study Alabama the more I realize I was in love with the RPO offense, and their execution of it.....not necessarily Tua Tagovailoa.
This is big for me, and a learning lesson.

@OmarKelly I went safety round 2. Given the athletic qbs I think we need safeties who can play a few spots. Which leads to the mistake of missing on an edge like Philips.
