
Hackers are calling for Coinbase to pay up or else they will share personal info they "appear" to have obtained from bribing COIN workers.
The hackers are asking for $20 million.
Less than 1% of Coinbase's monthly transacting customers were impact.
The company's preliminarily estimate of the cost is "approximately $180 million to $400 million," per a SEC filing.
At this point, COIN says there's been "no compromise of passwords or private keys" and targeted workers weren't ever able to access customer funds.
