Contrary than above release notes suggest, this contradicts BIP433: Pay to Anchor which states that no new consensus rules are introduced. The additional new consensus rule is not documented in BIP110. Do the current RDTS clients implement that rule, @dathon_ohm?

Bitcoin Core developers should follow Satoshi's example and use pseudonyms. If not the Mob or the State will take off their heads. Anyone using their real identity is, or will be, compromised. Bitcoin was designed to destroy fiat money, don't be naive they want blood.

Question for Luke since there’s been so many accusations of corruption leveled at core: is it true or not you were paid by Layer2Labs to make the PR for BIP300? If so did you ever disclose that payment?

Overstated to an absurd degree. And the "fix" you suggest just results in a prompt, not an automatic fixing of an (intentionally) corrupted datadir. Either way users switching to Knots *after a chain split* to a *minority chain* will have to manually repair their corrupt database, with or without your "fix". Knots, as with all software, can only go so far in repairing issues that come from user error. It cannot robustly fix issues that result from broken software making use of the same data directory and corrupting it. The solution is for people not to download invalid blocks using a broken implementation in the first place, and if you were genuine, that is what you would be advising as the fork is happening regardless of inconsequential complaining on twitter.

@DavidFBailey @GrassFedBitcoin You can read the BIP, argue against that, why does Luke matter? Would it matter if BTC was created by government agency? Nope, it's open source and decentralised.
