Education International joined hands with the Ethiopian Teachers Association to launch the Go Public! Fund Education campaign in Addis Ababa today. Over 200 people participated in the launch, calling on the Ethiopian Government to invest in education and teachers.

African Women in Education Network committee members, meeting in Accra, Ghana, from 11 - 14 December 2023, call on African governments to address gender inequalities in and through education and to invest in quality public education for all.

'We call for a quality public school for every Nigerian and for every African child', @dsinyolo said. He added that governments need to take concrete legislative, financing, and other measures to bring an end to privatisation and commercialisation of education.

'Governments also need to meet their obligation and commitment to ensure equitable, inclusive quality public education for all by investing in education NOW!', he stressed at the EI/NUT/FES Workshop on Privatisation & Commercialisation of Education in Nigeria.
