And in the latest dumpster fire of the day, I finish an interview taping for @TheSWNMedia to find out that FOX Charlotte (WJZY, @Queen_City_News) gave no warning and cut from the @IndyCar race just to bring their regular 4 p.m. newscast - IN A RACING MARKET. Unreal. Goes to show that WJZY has no clue what will actually draw eyes in their own television domain. This one isn't on IndyCar or FOX proper but it's still absolutely frustrating to have happen at the end of an already bad-look weekend. #IndyCar

@dINDYmals this isnt NSS putting on the event. so its always going to be lacking compared to the nascar weekend.

Super curious to know peoples experiences at Nashville Superspeedway for non-IndyCar races…cause 3 years in a row it’s delivered an abysmal fan experience and I have to wonder is it the track itself or something specific to the relationship with the series

Really excited for IndyCar racing from Nashville on Monday afternoon. IndyCar has been very fun this season. I’m disappointed they weren’t able to race on Sunday for their own sake, but it should be fun. Hot, slick, and oval racing 🔥

For those wondering: FS1 is scheduled for live coverage of TBT (The Basketball Tournament) Monday from 7-11pm that, even if it may be smaller potatoes, would still be tough to shelve for a rescheduled race. Fox has its typical weeknight entertainment programming from 8-10pm. You lose leverage, even if you think you’re a bigger deal, when you’re rescheduling. And so a shortened race with lead-in from Barrymore, Sherri & Steve Wilkos it is.

The INDYCAR race tomorrow has been reduced to 225 laps because of the excessive heat forecast.

Gutted for all involved at #IndyCar and FOX that this masterplan of a World Cup final lead-in is set to be scuppered by weather. The best race of 2025 was moved from the finale for this purpose. Brutal break, given all the eyeballs it would have attracted… #MusicCityGP

.@IndyCar has postponed its race at Nashville till tomorrow afternoon due to rain, missing the FIFA World Cup final lead-in.

@jeff_gluck fox deserves this.

So disappointing for IndyCar. They were going to have a MASSIVE lead-in audience from the World Cup, only to get rained out.

@cfchangs9 @ArchieOReilly_ @Kupilainen no. maybe go to a place where its not this bad though. portland has a 5% chance of rain today historically, and laguna seca has 0%. and you can rain race there. nashville is like 40%.

Very disappointed that NASCAR (North Wilkesboro) and IndyCar (Nashville) will likely be running at the same time. I wish one of them ran on Saturdays night.

@JLTNC3 @dubi4captain If they were lazy they wouldn’t be racing at all. They both race Tri Track. Idk why you’d think the two best teams on the tour are “lazy”. That’s just ridiculous.

@Bongslinger86 @dubi4captain Because they are to lazy to figure out the tires , they quit over adversity, meanwhile Mckennedy, Emerling, Hirschman stuck it out , and figured it out, 4th place doesn't pay enough for tires , but keep insisting because you watch 🙄 you just want to argue, im not the one 👋🏻
