@dzeeff @PeepsYGO That's because the Pokemon TCG uses floodgates as "interaction". When a lot of people were calling this card a healthy piece of the format, I knew they were beyond saving.

@atrocityTCG i mean sure, but if the experience getting to that point is still pleasant then that person will probably continue playing it’s more about the journey of getting there still feeling fulfilling rather than purely outcomes based

@duckpez I guess there's some scope. Some games are better at hiding that you have lost the moment you sat down, but ultimately you did regardless

@atrocityTCG while it’s true that this (usually) ultimately leads to the same outcome, there is definitely a difference in how it feels feeling like you misplayed a potentially winnable game vs instantly losing when you’re new to the game are pr different experiences imo

@duckpez This is true, the decks you get or the decks you can buy are on the weaker side. But the experience leads to the same place You boot up ranked You lose You get material You get a better deck The only difference is how fast you lose

@atrocityTCG i know you’re like a full time ragebaiter but you do actually get some (albeit unoptimized) tier 1 decks upon booting up ptcgl we both know that the ygo new player experience is quite bad, and MD does a really poor job of guiding you through it leading to these feelsbad moments

@ForTheWinTCG @PachycephaloAlt As opposed to pokemon where you automatically get the tier one pre rotation Gardevoir deck with the inherent knowledge of how to play it upon booting up the game
