Saw a sales guy on Reddit complaining about making 75k for a 3rd year in a row selling b2b janitorial supplies His story is not an uncommon one Not all sales roles are created equally In general you want to avoid most sales roles that require: -Selling in person -Significant travel time -Low Margin products -All or nothing comp plans This person worked for a company that did all 4 of these things, and so many sales people fall into the same trap At the end of the day whether you are slinging toilet paper or saas the skill set required to successfully do both is relatively the same So what does that tell you? As a competent sales person your entire job is to find the highest leverage vehicle to sell for You want to maximize earnings vs time investment required to reach OTE To do this, you need to work for a company that: -sells a high margin product -to a hungry market -that has to have your product to conduct business -comp plans with real skin in the game for the company. Ex: good base, benefits and tools to do your job effectively Anything else is simply spinning your wheels, and delaying long term success Don’t get caught doing a sales job that requires significant time doing non revenue generating activities (travel) and selling low margin products

A lot of talented Sales reps and leaders just joined. That’s what you get for being on the GTM side and putting your faith in a maniac
Hamid@hamids

After telling everyone that xAI and Grok were the most advanced AI in the world, had the most advanced AI teams ever assembled, raised money at $200 Billion valuation (with little revenue, unlike its counterparts OpenAI, Anthropic and others), making fun of all of its competitors, @elonmusk is now openly: - Admitting xAI was not built right and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up to catch up - Admitting that they hired poorly and passed on talented candidates that they should've hired It's a good thing he was able to "merge" or Sell xAI to SpaceX before these revelations came out. I wonder what SpaceX shareholders think about all this.

Bold prediction on the State of the Union tonight: Every person who likes Trump will think he gave a great speech. Every single conservative influencer has determined before he gave his speech that was the best of all time and they can't wait to tell you that. Every person who hates Trump will think it was the worst speech of all time. Every single liberal influencer has already determined before he gave his speech that it was terrible & they cannot wait to tell you that. Politics is such a circus. It's WWE. Boldest prediction: Watching it will change no one's mind. You would be better off taking a long walk, playing with your kids, reading a book, or doing anything else productive that'll actually better your life!!

If your SaaS makes me log in and use the UI for anything instead of just allowing me to prompt the API using Claude Code, I am going to expend whatever social capital I have to aggressively get rid of the tech from my companies stack, get rid of the the contract, cancel the card we pay for it with, and never do business with these people again Anyone not building for the headless consumption of agents is an opp

You can create your own AI SDR in Claude code now for $20/month. All the AI sales outreach start ups should be nervous. Up to you how you implement, but can be done. here’s how to do it: 1. Export your account and contact list from Salesforce. 2. Prompt Claude code to create an agent who can do email outreach impersonating you. Guide it to write a compelling cold email. It will guide you through any manual steps and what files it needs. Can operate locally on your computer. 3. Have it send like you would. 100 per day? Personalize them based on account research of their website and the person’s LinkedIn page. (LinkedIn might ban you, but it can login as you too) 4. This is the tricky part, you’ll have to API into your Gmail or into an email sending service connected to your inbox. You might have trouble getting approval here. you might be like me and have a chill IT guy. If it’s your own business this isn’t a problem. 5. Prompt as many controls on it as you like. For instance you can write the template and approve each message before it sends if you have Claude add some personalization. Let me know if you do this. I’m running this for my side business currently and will be demoing for my org soon.

You need to be using cursormaxxing Using cursor in your job is like having a cracked out intern That will analyze or build whatever you need it too on demand And the cool part is it remembers and gets better over time And I’m barely scratching the surface with it
