I’m a retired prosecutor with no connection or interest in the matter of the shooting of the person in Minneapolis. I have reviewed the video of the shooting. From the video I conclude that the individual driving the vehicle was approached on the driver side by an ICE agent who told the driver that they were under arrest. The vehicle had its back up lights on showing that the vehicle was running and in reverse. The officer at the driver‘s window reached for the door handle and was attempting to open the vehicle when the driver placed the vehicle into drive and began to move forward. another ICE agent was in front of the vehicle towards the left side or the driver side. The vehicle appeared to be rapidly accelerating towards the officer either striking him or push pushing him out of the way. The officer then fired three shots in the direction of the driver of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle sped away, but apparently crashed a few hundred feet away. Reports are that the driver was killed in the incident. My analysis is that the driver was involved in a forcible felony which posed an immediate direct LETHAL threat to the law-enforcement officers, and that the threat was of a lethal nature from the accelerating automobile. It appears to me that the officer was justified in using the lethal force to stop the threat and prevent escape of a fleeing felon.

Bystanders say ICE shot a woman who was driving away from them in the face. She was killed. Reminder these are largely unvetted thugs and abusers who have no business being in law enforcement. Another murder brought to you by Donald Trump.
