An unusual white wine: the Specially Selected Vouvray is 100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire but it has a fair amount of residual sugar, so medium-dry. I had it with mapo tofu this evening and it was perfect. Think spice. Or blue cheese. €10.99 @Aldi_Ireland #ad

Staying in a country hotel tonight and actually gobsmacked at the shockingly poor service in the bar.

Why oh why are there not more egg curries on menus here? Admittedly not great in photos but absolutely delicious. You see it more on menus in the UK. This one was absolutely delicious @ Spice Village Terenure. I was a #guest #invite but honestly try it - IF you can get a table!!

Interesting that reports of frost in Dublin and temperatures show a very localised area of low temps overnight in Dublin where it is -1c.
