Th whole GKC thing makes me feel like I’m going crazy because obviously it’s dumb but Nintendo weren’t the first. PS and Xbox were ALSO selling “physical” versions with huge downloads attached. The difference with Nintendo is they had the decency to make a label for it!!!!

I disagree completely. I think plenty of open world games before BotW captured that feeling perfectly. Morrowind in 2001 had a completely open world with no restrictions, where the player could jump from Balmora all the way to Solstheim with a strong enough spell. BotW simply structured itself in a way that was a little more conducive to aimless exploration, but that does not mean it was the first to deliver on the promise of the Open World.

People keep saying Toph’s mother wasn’t there when Toph invented metalbending in the animation. But they’re forgetting something.
In the original, Toph’s parents first saw her true earthbending skills during the Earth Rumble tournament. The live action cut that scene, so they moved that reveal to the metalbending scene instead.
The point is still the same her parent finally witnesses Toph’s true potential. They only changed when it happened.

@moripoyo_art @chozero616 No it’s not. Most locations in TOTK are not destroyed. Zoras have a mud problem, Gorons become crackheads, Rito have problems with ice. The only one that seems deadly is Gerudo. Then you have him walking around with a fake Zelda which makes Link seem like a dumb character.

@dudebro1488384 @chozero616 It’s literally the exact same in both games. We go to Zora’s Domain, Goron City, Hyrule Castle the Lost Woods and the Gerudo Desert (plus Rito Village in TotK) and find that Ganondorf has destroyed these locations off-screen.
