101 West Linwood is one of the last of my preservation advocacy efforts in Kansas City. Depending on if the promise holds true, its restoration will be a win for this part of the City.
I encourage others to step up and continue to raise awareness about stuff like this.

Vienna's first Dutch-inspired bicycle street is nearing completion on Argentinierstraße; totally transforming the 1.3 km corridor.
140 car parking spaces were removed to significantly improve the walking and cycling experience; while adding abundant trees, planting, and seating.

@trevoracorn @chris_stritzel I’m naive and ignorant to most of this stuff but we are in the design phase of building a new home in KCMO and multiple engineers have told me the new code will add about $25-$30k to an average SFH build along with likely a few extra months of permit review.

@chris_stritzel Not really convinced that 1 this is that big of a cost burden (of course builders complain but I know these guys and don’t buy it) 2 affordable housing doesn’t really come from new construction…it comes from filtering so I think the hand wringing is over done.
