Since the 2005 CWS team, Nebraska is 3-7 in their NCAA Regional openers, with losses to Manhattan, UC Riverside, Yale, and UConn. In their three Game 1 wins, the scores were 13-10, 8-5, and 8-6. NU can't make the winner's bracket if they don't win their first game.

I see “Cracker Parties” and immediately think “well considering the racial liberties this show takes…this oughta be good.” Then to my surprise, segment 1 discussed honest to goodness actual crackers. And I thought…maybe I owe them an apology. I judged too quickly. And then no…as soon as Austin chimed in, I soaked in the validation of knowing even with the left turn of grocery store crackers, this was only ever going to end one way. Never change, boys.

Are coaches allowed to comment on unsigned commits now? Is that a new change? Previously, wasn’t the old rule, can’t reference a specific recruit until signed? Wouldn’t a quote tweet of a commitment announcement violate that principle?

@FeitCanWrite Not to mention based on the various “scanned ticket” projects that Sam and the OWH have done in past years…we’re not actually getting that many butts in seats anyway. There is no practical impact to attendance because 85000 people are rarely in the stadium any more.

I have many, many thoughts about Memorial Stadium renovations, but let's start with this one: The days of fan bases measuring their... um... self worth by the capacity of their stadiums are over.

For the most part. Every once in a while I’ll hit the live stream. But Spotify is my predominant method of catching the show. I know some Patreon podcast/content folks that have “tiers” of access. So maybe it’s $5 for VIP $10 for VIP + Ad Free? The folks at Crooked Media have premium ad-free streams in Spotify. They MIGHT be Substack, not Patreon. But it would be worth some extra $$ to me not to have to yell “Hey Siri…fast forward with 30 secs, 2 mins or 3 mins” depending on segment and ad placement.

Hey @Sausha72 @ralulla and @damonbenning! Can we fast forward to the new business model where $5 more bucks on Patreon gets us ad-free podcast segments? These new mid-segment ads kill the flow and vibe. Totally respect the hustle and that y’all need to get paid. But can we offer an option that doesn’t step on the flow and momentum of the show?

@damonbenning Catching up on the pod, here. You got me into Paradise Season 1. I’m here to advocate for Season 2. And the start of S2 hit the wife and I the same way. “We don’t care about this storyline. We don’t care about these characters.” They do pull it all together. Get to the end of Ep 3 and see how you feel. That’s when it felt cohesive again. And then I spent the rest of the season going down TikTok conspiracy theory rabbit holes. 🤣. And can’t wait for S3 to drop!

In < 40 hours we’ll get another fake post about how much negotiating progress has been made and how much Iran has come to the table asking for peace so that this ultimatum disappears.
