@PatrickRyen@BradKlibansky Do you ever hear anything from those inside the club as to why this is happening? There were rumours today he was going to be rested, so someone is talking.
I love Kondog. Played three timid games in the VFL back from his virus. Thats fine he is learning and long term prospect is great. The criteria though on getting a game in the seniors at this club is very strange. Not much is based on any VFL form or fitness
Essendon can have all theirs heads down with Kako & May injuries, or stand for something. 2nd half of Pies game tells you heads down & deflated is selfish & gains nothing for any future success. So stand up & play hard, make 2026 count for something still. Its your choice
Respeto y admiración. 🎉🫡
@PatrickRyen Sharp would come in for who? We need to replace Ridley so Prior the obvious choice. Surely no one else should be dropped for a returning injured player?
Training Report – 22nd April 2026
The boys hit the track in breezy but near-perfect conditions today at the Hangar. There was a strong energy across the group, with one of the biggest games of the season looming this week on the biggest stage outside of finals, Anzac Day.
Prior trained at around 75% intensity but was involved in match simulation, so I’d expect him to be available this week. Keep a close eye on Dyson Sharp as well, my gut says he plays. He spent plenty of time with the midfield group during craft work.
Fiorini raised the bar again, incorporating some high-intensity sprint efforts, while Cillian Bourke trained fully without the green cap. Bourke has some seriously exciting skills, really looking forward to seeing him out there.
Redman also trained fully without a cap and looks closer than the initially suggested 2–3 week timeline.
Hayes trained fully but wore the green cap. Setterfield didn’t train and instead received treatment, so hopefully nothing too concerning there. Bryan got through the session but was slightly managed, which is understandable after his first game back.
The main focus of the session was defensive setups and contest work, and overall the skill level was very strong.
Anzac Day is a significant occasion, honouring so many servicemen and women. It’s a privilege to play on this day, hopefully the boys bring their absolute best.
❤️🖤👊

On The Couch really sucks now. Used to be great, but just lacks any form of insight. Plus, leading with how 'fragile' the Hollands situation is and then speculating on it for the next 12 minutes is such transparent rubbish.
How was Brayden Fiorini a late withdrawal 24 days ago and still listed as “TBC” on our injury list?
How concerning is this back issue he’s dealing with and what actually is the problem?
Hard to recall a bigger injury nightmare for one club isn’t it?
The Western Bulldogs have lost Darcy (knee), O’Donnell (hamstring), Lobb (hamstring) and Liberatore (another concussion) in this smashing at GMHBA Stadium.
Just a disastrous night.
We’ll have the updates on a huge news week on @1116sen Crunch Time tomorrow.
Archer Day-Wicks willingness to take on some really tough but critical kicks was outstanding today. Broke open the game. Well done young man you've had to fight for everything you have achieved 🖤❤️💪

@ScooterMcNeice He has a team that’s building. They are getting fitter and more confident in their bodies. Cohesion is also improving. Selection integrity also better and being able to put in players with form, not just injury replacement.
The half time break will be extended from 20 minutes to 22 minutes for the North Melbourne v Brisbane game at Barossa Park.
The AFL has granted the extra time because the change rooms/warm up area is a fair way out of the venue. @7AFL@7NewsMelbourne
Literally just the smallest sprinkle of belief and they’re making handballs and kicks they’ve been missing ALL year. It won’t ultimately be enough to get us the win against better opponent tonight but fk me what a refreshing quarter that 3rd was.
@shezbabee I’m just embarrassed and numb to it all. I’ve been a Scott supporter but I’m concerned he’s lost the players. We can’t keep losing like this. We’ll never recover.
