Lucas Herbert gained an average of +6.48 strokes per round vs the field at LIV UK which is the best tournament strokes gained average in the history of LIV Golf, which demonstrates how well he separated himself from the field.
Herberts Round 1 of 61 was statistically the 3rd best round of golf in LIV history gaining +9.79 stokes vs the field. His 4th round was the 7th best round in LIV history gaining +5.51.
Herbert now has 4 rounds in the Top 10 best ever statistical rounds in LIV history as his Round 3 in Mexico City ranks 2nd all time and Round 2 in Virginia ranks 9th.
No other player has more than 1 round in the Top 10.

The fact the R&A obliged Bryson on this whole ordeal shows how unsure they were in their decision. Makes them look sort of clownish imo (USGA would be getting destroyed for something like this).
If they were so sure it was a penalty, show some conviction - say no, we’re not going back out there. You’re getting penalized. We’ve reviewed the tape. Sorry not sorry.
Instead, they thought he had a case and let him plead it and let this whole saga hijack their “storied” championship.

For Bryson to say he didn’t improve his lie and the R&A to say “we don’t believe you” on the basis of that footage is a huge turning point in this self policing sport ! Wow
