“A professor of medicine was dragged out of a planned surgery, beaten & brutalized by the operatives of @officialEFCC. This is a Cardiothoracic surgeon, one of the very few in the country, the only one in Akwa Ibom, Uyo State. What would ever justify this level of aggression in a hospital?” ~Man asks EFCC

FIVE ATTACKS AND COUNTING: The Abandonment of Ngbra Zongo I visited Ngbra Zongo yesterday. I wish I could say I was not prepared for what I found. But after years of documenting this carnage across the Middle Belt, the truth is more damning, I was fully prepared, and it still broke something in me. Less than twenty thatched houses. A community draped in grief so thick you could feel it in the air. On May 7, armed terrorists descended on this tiny village in Kwall district, Bassa LGA, and killed more than a dozen people, among them three pregnant women. Three mothers. Three unborn children. Gone. This was the fifth attack on Ngbra Zongo in recent years. The fifth. What kind of society allows a community to be massacred five times and does nothing? What kind of government watches a people bury their dead, again and again, and still cannot post a single soldier, a single policeman, a single armed guard at the entrance of their village? The Plateau State governor visited them the day before we arrived. He came. He saw. And he left them exactly as he found them, unprotected, terrified, and alone. When we got there, there was not one security personnel on the ground. Not one. The people told us the terrorists have been calling them on the phone, taunting them, warning them they will return to finish the job. These are not the words of criminals who fear consequences. These are the words of men who know, with absolute certainty, that no one is coming to stop them. And when you stand in Ngbra Zongo and look beyond the grief, you understand immediately what this is about. The land is breathtaking, vast, lush, impossibly green. It is the kind of land that feeds families for generations. It is the kind of land that men with guns and ambition will kill for, if they believe they can kill with impunity. They believe it because we have given them every reason to. No electricity. No school. No pipe-borne water. No road worth the name. And now, no protection. Ngbra Zongo has been left completely outside the circle of the Nigerian state, except when it is time to count their dead or their votes. I am angry. I am frustrated. But more than anything, I am tired of writing about communities that governments visit for photo opportunities and abandon to their killers. The people of Ngbra Zongo are not asking for much. They are asking to live. SK

For those who don’t understand the gravity of what the lawless EFCC has done today, hospital is supposed to be sanctuary. This was very clear in the Geneva convention. For them to harass and abduct a professor of cardiothoracic surgery from the theatre, They have gone lawless!

Back in university... I slipped into the back of the lecture hall, bowed my head to pray before reading my books. That’s when my eyes fell on a crumpled paper lying on the dusty floor. I don’t know why I noticed it. But something pulled me to pick it up. Written in hurried handwriting were desperate cries... Freedom from addiction... Success in exams that felt impossible... Healing for broken parents... Peace in a storm I couldn’t imagine. My heart broke for this stranger I would never meet. Right there, on my knees between rows of empty seats, I prayed like their life depended on it. I wept over every request as if it were my own. I never saw that person. I still don’t know if my prayers made any difference. But I knew, deep in my spirit, the Holy Spirit had drawn my eyes to that paper for a reason. Sometimes God calls us to intercede in secret. We may never see the harvest. But heaven moves when we obey. If the Holy Spirit is nudging you to pray for a stranger today, even one you’ll never meet, don’t ignore it. Your unseen prayer could be the very lifeline they need.

It was a delay in issuing a death certificate that caused a whole Professor of Surgery, the only Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Akwa Ibom and Deputy CMAC of UUTH to be harrassed by officials of EFCC. Wildly behaved officials that may be just SSCE holders. What a country!

The only Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Akwa Ibom State was just harassed by some government officials. The amount of people about to die from the lack of doctors in Nigeria in the next 5 years it’s about to surpass that from insurgence in the past 10 years.

The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. But God left out one crucial component: no steering wheel, no sail, and no engine. Think about how scary that is. Noah built a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it or where it went. He couldn't steer away from rocks, turn into the waves, or aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was designed for floating, not navigation. Noah's job was to be the passenger, not the captain. God was the Captain. This is your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel on a situation that God wants you to simply float on and allow Him to lead and take control. This blessed me. I hope it blesses you too. 🙏🏾

Seriously? A picture of Jonah just chilling in the belly of the great fish like it was some luxury boat cruise? Looks like ur the one who needs to grow up and stop reading the Bible like a childrens picture book flipping past the cute illustrations. If youre gonna mock it at least get the story right. The text doesnt say Jonah survived in the great fish…it wasnt a refuge; it was a tomb. You atheists love to pretend that Jonah was just hanging out in the fish….maybe even taking a nap or two to pass the time. Utter nonsense. Jonah prayed while he was still on the boat, as the sailors threw him overboard and he continued praying from inside the belly of the fish…until he drowned. Read his own prayer from inside the fish: “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress… From the belly of Sheol I cried and you heard my voice… The waters closed in over me to the point of death; the flood surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head; I went down to the roots of the mountains; the earth with its bars closed upon me forever… Yet you brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God.” (Jonah 2:2–6) He prays from Sheol….the Old Testament place of the dead. He says the waters took him “to the point of death.” Seaweed wrapped around his head and the earth barred him in forever. Thats not a guy whos just uncomfortable….thats a man describing his own death. So yes…..Jonah died in the belly of the great fish. The miracle wasnt that he survived underwater for three days. The miracle was that God raised him from the dead after the fish vomited his dead body onto dry land. And thats exactly the sign Jesus pointed to: “But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves a sign; and so no sign will be given to it except the SIGN OF JONAH the prophet; For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matt 12:39-40) Jesus didnt say “as Jonah lived in the fish…” He pointed to Jonahs death and resurrection as a sign of His own. Jonah died. God raised him. Jesus died. God raised Him. Thats the parallel…not a three day aquarium stay. The sign of Jonah isnt survival. Its resurrection. Full stop.

My dear people of Kaduna state, The direction I will take as the emerging leader of the state is such that I don’t only seek to end the killings of innocent Nigerians but pursue the sponsors of the bloodshed with a resilient resolve of meting justice and retribution, swiftly - no matter how highly placed they might be; and also adequately compensating victims of these genocidal massacres by returning them to their homes and ensuring they are commensurately set up to resume their normal lives. We cannot measure success in any parameter of our economy unless we restore the dignity of human life. And that I will pursue by all means necessary. SO HELP ME GOD 🙏🏿
