Really don’t like what’s being done to Keir Starmer because he hasn’t done badly in my opinion.

Does the council have a volunteer group that someone like me can join to help encourage students vote?
Coventry City Council@coventrycc

@dupe_duro Hello, Yes that's our reading of the situation. It's a pattern you see in other parts of the country too. We do work with the universities to encourage students to vote either in Coventry or at their non term time address.

@coventrycc This is the lowest turn out out of all the wards, could it be as a result of more student residing there?

At this point I wish dy remove d right to vote to residents abeg, why give me the right to vote but I can’t express myself or my opinion. Later now they’ll be sending letter to register on the electoral register and they even link it to your credit health.

It’s now they are fixing road that have punctured car tyres, doing bicycle lane they pledge from the very beginning, everywhere filled with one construction or the other. Smh
Funmi@Funminz

@dupe_duro They just want to win and do anyhow. The UK’s May elections are local elections: councils, mayors, Police & Crime Commissioners, and combined authorities. It’s the level that controls housing, roads, bins, planning, transport, everyday life.

WHY THIS IS A GOOD AGREEMENT. Not minding those who are blindly against this agreement, it’s a good deal for Nigerians especially those with aspirations to one day migrate to the UK. While this agreement is explicitly about NIGERIANS (not other nationals) who have outstayed their visa or failed their asylum applications (determined by the Asylum court in the UK), many have lied that it’s for everyone from any part of the world. If Nigeria refuses this agreement to take their citizens back who have no rights to remain in the UK, the UK government will place NIGERIA on visa ban, that means anyone with legitimate reasons to be in the UK whether for study, visits or employment will be affected. If your country has record number of overstaying asylum seekers, the UK governments will put in strict measures for your citizens when they apply for visas. Recently, the UK Govt took key actions include banning or pausing study and work visas for nationals from Afghanistan, Cameroon, Myanmar, and Sudan due to high volumes of visa abuse and asylum claims. When you travel abroad and your visa expires, return to your country so you don’t block opportunities for others. Ignore those blindly against the agreement, it’s good for everyone including you willing to travel to UK someday.
Ministry of Interior@MinOfInteriorNG

The agreement signed by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on behalf of the government of Nigeria and Home Secretary, Rt Hon Shabana Mahmood on behalf of the UK government, guarantees that returnees will be treated with dignity, rights retention under domestic law, and may re-enter in the future if they meet the applicable immigration requirements. It also provides detailed arrangements for the dignified return and reintegration of NIGERIANS who do not have the legal right to remain in the UK. This arrangement includes: the use of secured travel documentation, case-by-case identity verification, and safeguards for vulnerable individuals and potential victims of trafficking. This framework also sets out clear definitions, scope, and areas of cooperation, including; information sharing, capacity building, training, and joint research on migration management and border security.

@MinOfInteriorNG @eniolaofLagos I do not see a problem with this agreement if it’s only Nigerians failed asylum seekers that would be returned to the country. They are first of all Nigerian citizens and it’s okay to help get them back into the country

Five missing black women, mainly from Nigeria and Kenya, were found in different water bodies with missing organs in the United Kingdom, yet the mainstream media is silent and the useless African government can't call this out.

As a public servant. You don’t need to do much to impress Nigerians. Just be professional and Nigerians would recognize your modest contribution. Tunji Disu’s appointment as IGP is a great example. He did absolutely well with RRS in Lagos.

PayPal wants to quietly sneak back into Africa and Nigeria like nothing happened. I literally cried when PayPal closed an account we used in 2022 to collect Bet9ja and Betano ad revenue almost $1,000 gone just like that. A friend of mine lost $4,000. Back then, I rejected a lot of gigs simply because PayPal was the only payment option. I would rather stay jobless than work and have PayPal eventually swallow the money. You can’t treat us like garbage and then walk back into our lives as if nothing happened. Boycott PayPal. We don’t want them. We’ve moved on. Another terrible platform is Payoneer. You receive funds, and then they start requesting documents that an average individual in Nigeria can’t easily obtain. In the end, you’re basically forced to leave the money stuck in the account.

Nigerians in the UK 🇳🇬🇬🇧
NIUK Community Call-to-Action: Protect Families – 10 Years Too Long Dear NIUK Community, We are facing a deeply worrying reality: immigrants in the UK are being forced onto a 10-year route to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). This unfair policy places unbearable strain on hardworking migrants and their families and undermines the values of fairness, dignity, and compassion that our country should stand for. Imagine the impact: families living in uncertainty for a decade, parents unable to plan their children’s futures, young people growing up in the only country they know yet being told they do not belong. The emotional, financial, and psychological toll is devastating for thousands of families who already contribute so much to our communities, our economy, and our society. We cannot remain silent. Every letter, every voice, and every appeal to our Members of Parliament matters. By writing to your MP, you are not only standing up for your own rights but also for fairness, justice, and the shared humanity that binds us all. What You Can Do 1.Find your MP: Use this link – members.parliament.uk/members/Commons – and enter your postcode. 2.Write your letter/email: Use our prepared letter template and personalise it with your story.. 3.Send it today: The more letters MPs receive, the stronger our collective voice. Tips for Your Letter •Share your personal story if you feel comfortable – it makes a real impact. •Be polite, concise, and clear: ask your MP to oppose the 10-year ILR route and support a fairer 5-year settlement. •After sending your letter, let us know so we can track the MPs who have been contacted. Why This Matters •Families shouldn’t wait a decade for security. •Children shouldn’t grow up in uncertainty. •Communities thrive when all members are treated fairly. Our voices are strongest when we raise them together. Let’s remind Parliament that migrants are not statistics—they are our neighbours, colleagues, friends, and family. Together, we can make MPs listen. Together, we can say: #10YearsTooLong – End the Wait for Fair Settlement. With hope and determination, NIUK Moderation Team

Is there a day in this country person go rest as a business person at all? If you’re not packing different certificates to register your business, you’ll have to register with Efcc to confirm you’re legit so scammers won’t use your account for fraud. And is not small money
