The FIA constantly says safety comes first, yet penalties seem completely inconsistent. Sergio Pérez got a 3-place grid penalty in 2024 for driving the car in an "unsafe condition" back to the garage. Max Verstappen got penalised for saying: “my car is fvcked.” Carlos Sainz got penalised for crossing the track on foot, while there were no cars on track. Why is the FIA so inconsistent?
